Police in Irvington are investigating a shooting incident that injured a male at a location in the Township Friday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, police responded to reports of an injured person in the 50's block of Lenox Avenue around 11:30 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they requested EMS for an unidentified male suffering a bullet wound at that location.
Police say the victim was transported to Univesity Hospital for treatment while officers canvassed the scene for evidence and other possible victims.
According to police, there were no other injuries reported and the shooting remains under investigation.
