Authorities in Mercer County are investigating a shooting incident with a man fighting for his life at a hospital in Trenton.
It happened around 12:45 a.m. near 550 Lamberton Road in Trenton.
According to police, a gunman approached the victim and fired about nine shots in his direction.
Police say one of the bullets struck him in his head.
The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office were advised of the shooting and Trenton Police Major Crime Units secured the scene and initiated the investigation.
The suspect fled the scene and is at large.
There were no other injuries reported.
