Elizabeth Police reported no arrests in a shooting incident in the city on Wednesday evening.
Officers responded to reports of an injured person at 470 Jefferson Avenue shortly before 7:25 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found a male suffering a non-life-threatening bullet wound in his leg on the second floor of a five-story building.
The victim was transported to University Hospital in Newark for treatment and listed in stable condition.
Police set up a perimeter around the building to search for a possible shooter, but no arrests were immediately reported.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
