Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Chief Darren P. Dachisen, Sr. of the Borough of Madison Police Department announce the arrest of Juan Chavez Osorio, 18, of Madison, on numerous charges of Sexual Assault, Criminal Sexual Contact and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, related to allegations involving an underage female.
It is alleged that the defendant engaged in numerous sexual acts with the victim who was 13-years-old during the conduct in question.
Police said the defendant met the victim through a family member.
The defendant was charged on Feb. 21st and is currently lodged at the Morris County Correctional Facility in accordance with Criminal Justice Reform.
A criminal complaint is merely an accusation. Despite this accusation, this defendant is presumed innocent until he is proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
