Lyndhurst Man Arrested on Multiple Charges Involving Explicit Contact with Minors

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella has announced the arrest of Donald Kumar Davis, a 33-year-old resident of Lyndhurst formerly from Nutley, on serious charges, including aggravated criminal explicit contact and endangering the welfare of a child. AdThe case initially came to light on December 13, 2023, when the Washington Township Police Department alerted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit about a juvenile's alleged explicit contact.

The ensuing investigation, conducted jointly by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Washington Township Police Department, uncovered that Davis had explicit contact with the child on two separate occasions in Washington Township and once in Wyckoff.

On December 19, 2023, Davis was apprehended and faced charges related to endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated criminal explicit contact.  

The investigation continued to unfold, revealing a second victim, which led to additional charges against Davis, including another count of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of aggravated criminal explicit contact.AdDavis was arrested again on Sunday, March 3, 2024, in Hackensack and has since been detained at the Bergen County Jail, awaiting his initial court appearance in Hackensack's Central Judicial Processing Court.  

The ongoing case underscores the commitment of local law enforcement to safeguarding children and bringing perpetrators to justice.
