On October 18, 2014 three Linden police officers were honored by the Health and Wellness Coalition of Union County (HAWC) for compiling the most DWI arrests in 2013 in their department.

The outdoor ceremony was held at Nomahegan Park in Cranford. Linden Police Chief James M. Schulhafer was in attendance to congratulate his officers.

The HAWC coordinates initiatives aimed at reducing substance abuse and alcohol misuse among people of all ages in Union County.
