Linden Mother says Son Escaped Attempted Abduction by Suspects Occupying White Van

The mother of a young boy told RLS Media that her child narrowly escaped being abducted by several males occupying a white van on Friday in Linden.

According to Linden Police, detectives are now investigating the suspicious event that occurred in the 1400 block of Hussa Street at about 3:15 p.m.

The van was occupied by three black male suspects who lured the child to the vehicle but were scared off by the victim.

UPDATE 4:58PM Linden Police said, at approx. 3:15 p.m. on Friday, a mother reported that her nine-year-old son was outside when he saw a white van pull up.

According to police, the driver reportedly exited the van holding an unknown object in his hand, at which time the boy ran inside. Police say the man did not speak to or approach the boy, and left the area without further incident.
