Linden Men Arrested for Stealing Irvington Dancer's Purse

Linden New Jersey

Two Linden men have been charged with theft after they stole a go-go dancer's purse in Linden, authorities said today.

Police responded to Cheeque’s, 1230 E. Linden Avenue, on a report of a purse snatching.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to a 22-year-old woman from Irvington, working as a dancer, who told them that while she was dancing, she observed a man walk behind the bar and grab her gold purse, which contained $200 cash, an Apple I-phone and her car keys.

The man then ran outside the door to a waiting vehicle, a Nissan Maxima, driven by another person, and fled the scene.

Officers examined video surveillance camera footage from the bar and were able to identify the vehicle, which led them to a Linden address.

The two occupants, Corey K. Curtis, 22, and Marcellou A. Osborne, 21, both of Linden, were identified by the victim and placed under arrest.

They were both charged with fourth degree theft and released on summonses pending a court date set for April 6th.

The woman’s purse was recovered near a gas station about a mile away. All of the victim’s property was recovered and returned to her.
