Authorities in Union County are investigating a shooting that injured a person at a location in Elizabeth early Monday morning.
According to police, the shooting happened at around 2 a.m. in the vicinity of 1025 North Broad Street.
Police say officers arrived and found the unidentified victim suffering multiple gunshot wounds in the head and torso.
EMS rushed the victim to the hospital in severe condition while police detectives stayed at the scene, investigating and searching for a suspect.
The motive for the shooting has not been determined.
