There were life-threatening injuries immediately reported for at least one occupant found inside a burning house in the Ocean County township of Berkeley during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, fire tore through a house located in the 60's block of Castle Harbor Drive at approximately 10 p.m. sending firefighters to the scene where they arrived the home heavily involved in flames.
Crews efforts to make their way into the burning structure, where they were told that all the occupants had not exited, were successful but once inside they found a severely injured and burned person according to reports.
Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control in under an hour with the cause under investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.
