Ocean County officials are currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Main Street in Toms River on Sunday evening.
Officials say the shooting happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Main Street.
A preliminary investigation has revealed that one male victim suffered injuries after a suspect shot him at that location.
EMS transported the victim to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune with life-threatening injuries.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
There were no other injuries reported.
