Edison Police reported life-threatening injuries for a pedestrian struck by a car on NJ-27 on Sunday morning.
According to police, at approximately 1:20 a.m., police responded to reports of an injured person in the 2100 block of Route 27.
Units arrived and found the unconscious and unresponsive person lying on the ground suffering severe injuries.
Officials said medical personnel performed CPR on the victim before transporting them to the hospital for additional treatment.
The incident is under an active and ongoing investigation.
