Passaic County authorities are looking into the motive for a shooting that critically injured a person at a location in Paterson Monday night.
Police say at approximately 9:10 p.m., they were alerted of multiple rounds of gunfire that rang out on the vicinity of Governor and Carol streets.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the unconscious and unresponsive victim suffering bullet wounds at that location.
According to police, the victim was rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital in severe condition.
Detectives from the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office were called to the scene to assist in the investigation.
