The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has joined the investigation into a shooting that injured a male in Paterson on Saturday night.
It happened in the vicinity of 64 Rosa Parks Boulevard just before 10:45 p.m.
Police say the suspect appeared to target the victim when he fired several rounds at him in the neighborhood.
The injured male was rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment and remains in severe condition.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation and the suspect remains at-large.
