Life Threatening Injuries for Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Springfield (Burlington County)

Police closed all lanes on Rt. 206 as detectives set up an accident investigation to determine what caused a pedestrian strike that left the victim severely injured overnight in Springfield.

The incident happened in the southbound lanes of U.S. 206 near Jobtown Road where emergency responders were called to the scene at around 10:33 p.m.

Upon their arrival, crews found the seriously injured victim laying on the ground at that location.

The highway remained closed for several hours causing heavy traffic on the road.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
