Police are on the scene of a shooting with a man down in the city's Central Ward at this time.
Gunfire rang out in the area of Irvine Turner Boulevard at Muhammad Ali Boulevard shortly before 4:45 p.m. sending police to the scene where they located a male victim suffering injury from gunfire.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital where his injuries are being reported as life threatening at this time.
A crime scene has been been established and an investigation is underway.
