There is a crime scene established in the 100 block of Norman Street as police and investigators are on the scene of a shooting with a child reportedly down.
Emergency responders were called to the 100 block of Norman Street on reports of shots fired sometime around 11:30 a.m.
Arriving units located a child victim suffering injury from gunfire inside a house according to reports.
The child was rushed to University Hospital in Newark suffering serious conditions reports said.
Police escorted several people from the house into squad cards sources told RLS Metro Breaking News.
The source also told us that the suspected shooter is possible another child. The victim is being reported to be around the age of 4-years old.
We have not been able to make contact with authorities from the city for confirmation on this story which is fairly normal for the city not to respond to request for information.
