Police recovered shell casings at the shooting scene that injured a person in New Brunswick Saturday night.
According to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center officials, the hospital notified police when a male gunshot victim was dropped off by a private vehicle to the emergency room around 10:45 p.m.
Police units arrived at the hospital and were told that the incident occurred on Lee Avenue, where officers launched their investigation after locating evidence.
The victim is reportedly in stable condition and the motive behind the shooting has not been determined at this time.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
