Late-Night Shooting Leaves One Injured in Hawthorne

A late-night shooting incident in Hawthorne has injured one individual and prompted an investigation by the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.

A preliminary investigation indicated that the incident occurred around 11 p.m. in the vicinity of 8 Wagner Place, where Hawthorne police were dispatched in response to reports of shots fired.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered a victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The injured individual was swiftly transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for medical treatment, although the victim's current condition has not been confirmed.

As the situation developed, additional police units were requested to the scene due to the presence of a large crowd that had gathered following the incident.

At this time, no arrests have been reported, and the motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.
