Late Night Shooting Injures Three Victims in Newark's North Ward

Newark Police have launched an investigation into the motive for a shooting that injured three victims in the city's North Ward Monday night.

In the latest in the series of violence, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the 100 block of Riverside Court at approximately 11:50 p.m.

When police arrived at the scene, they found male suffering a bullet wound in his chest at that location.

Police say as officers canvassed the scene, they found a second male suffering a bullet wound in his leg and a third male victim suffering a gunshot wound in his foot.

According to police, all of the victims were transported to University Hospital for treatment. The victim struck in the chest by bullets is listed in serious condition.

The suspects fled the scene and remain at-large.
