There were non-life threatening injuries reported in a shooting that occurred overnight in Jersey City.
The shooting happened in the 200 block of York Street shortly before 4:45 a.m. sending police to the scene where they found a male victim struck in the ankle by gunfire.
Police setup a crime scene while EMS transported the victim to Jersey City Medical Center where he received treatment for his injuries.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
There were no arrests immediately reported.
