Police in Jersey City are actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Saturday evening, resulting in non-fatal injuries to one individual.
The shooting took place at approximately 7 p.m. in the vicinity of Wegaman Parkway and Martin Luther King Drive.
Upon receiving reports of shots fired, police quickly responded to the scene and discovered evidence confirming that a shooting had indeed transpired.
Reports indicated that the victim, who sustained non-fatal injuries, was transported to Jersey City Medical Center by private vehicle.
The investigation into the incident remains active and ongoing. At present, no description of the suspect(s) has been released, and the motive behind the shooting has yet to be determined.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward to aid in the ongoing investigation.
