Jersey City Police are looking into the motive behind a shooting that sent a male to the hospital overnight.
At approximately midnight, police responded to reports of an injured person in the teens block of New Hope Lane.
Officers arrived and found an unidentified male suffering a bullet wound in his leg.
The victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment and is expected to recover.
Police have not announced an arrest for the shooting at this time.
