Jersey City Police Announce Two Arrests in Separate Shooting Investigations

Authorities in Jersey City have made two arrests in connection with separate shooting incidents over the past week, reflecting both rapid on-scene response and continued investigative efforts to identify those responsible.

According to information released by the Jersey City Police Department, officers responded on April 14 to reports of shots fired in the area of Clendenny and Bergen Avenues. 

With assistance from the department’s Cease Fire Unit, officers quickly identified two individuals involved.

 

One suspect, 18-year-old Tysaan Menter, was taken into custody and is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder and unlawful possession of a handgun. 

Police say the firearm recovered at the scene was loaded and later determined to be stolen. No injuries were reported in that incident.

 

In a separate case, officers responded to a shooting reported on April 9 near Pavonia and West Side Avenues, where a male victim was found suffering from gunshot wounds.

 

Following a thorough investigation, 43-year-old Isaac Ross was located and arrested on April 15 by members of the Cease Fire Unit and Criminal Warrant Squad, working in coordination with the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force.

He is also facing several charges, including attempted murder.

 

Both investigations remain active as authorities continue to gather additional details.
