Police in Jersey City are investigating an overnight shooting that left a man seriously injured overnight.
Reports of shots fired in the area of West Side Ave. and Claremount Ave. shortly before midnight sent several police units to the scene where they located a male victim shot multiple times and seriously injured.
The victim, (reported to be in his early 30's) suffering gunshot wounds to the back, was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center in serious condition.
Police setup a crime scene where they searched for evidence and a suspect.
This is the third reported shooting in less than 12-hours.
