A 27-year-old Monroe Township man employed as a firefighter in Jersey City and Old Bridge has been arrested on multiple charges following an investigation into alleged online sexual exploitation involving minors.

According to a statement released by Middlesex County Prosecutor Linda Estremera and Monroe Township Police Chief Griffin Banos, Drew Martucci was taken into custody at his Monroe Township residence on October 20, 2026, without incident.

Authorities said the investigation began after the New Jersey State Police forwarded a cyber tip to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

Detective Ken McGarry, assigned to the office’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit, investigated allegations that Martucci posed as a minor to produce sexual abuse material involving minors.

Following the investigation and a search of his residence, Martucci was charged with several offenses, including first-degree production of sexual abuse material involving minors, second-degree manufacturing, attempted manufacturing and distribution of such material, and third-degree offenses involving endangering the welfare of a minor, possession of illegal material, invasion of privacy and distributing obscene material to a minor.

The arrest involved assistance from the FBI’s exploitation and human trafficking task force, Monroe Township Police, the Middlesex County ICAC Task Force and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

Officials confirmed that Martucci was employed as a firefighter in both Jersey City and Old Bridge at the time of his arrest.

Following notification of the charges, Jersey City and Old Bridge Fire District 3 immediately suspended Martucci without pay.

Martucci remains at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Facility pending a pretrial detention hearing.
