Police in Jersey City are investigating shootings that sent three people to the hospital late last night in the city.
According to authorities, shortly before 10:30 p.m. police were called to the 100 block of Martin Luther King Drive near Stegman Street where cops located a male victim suffering a gunshot injury to the neck.
The victim was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center via EMS where his injuries were only reported as critical as of early this morning.
A thorough search of the area had cops follow a blood trail that led them to a second victim who was suffering a gunshot injury to the groin authorities said.
The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The motive for the shootings are under investigation.
In what appears to be a separate shooting, a male victim suffering injury from gunfire, walked into Jersey City Medical Center suffering a non-life threatening gunshot injury to the leg at around 11:30 p.m..
Police checked the area of Montgomery Court for a crime scene but it is not clear if any evidence was ever located.
The motive for the shootings have not been determined.
The Jersey City Police Department is handling the investigations.
