A Jackson man suffered a medical emergency as he was driving on Route 524 causing him to crash his car into a pole.
Police responded to the Route 9 southbound shortly after noon today for a report of a crash.
Upon arrival, police found a 2015 Hyundai Elantra struck a pole. The man – whose identity is being withheld – appeared to have suffered a medical emergency as he approached the intersection with Route 524 before striking the pole.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, no other vehicles were involved.
The crash remains under investigation.
