Newark Police are reporting the arrest of Mr. Khasim Dock, 32, of Irvington, in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred on July 5, 2022.
According to police, at approximately 9:45 p.m., police responded to the 800 block of South 14th Street on a call of a shooting.
Police say a male victim arrived at University Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound
. He is reportedly in stable condition.
Detectives investigating this incident identified Dock as a suspect in this incident and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Police said Dock was arrested without incident and faces charges of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
These charges are merely accusations.
Each suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
