Irvington Man Wanted for Kicking in Door to Newark West Ward Apartment

Newark Police officials said a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Mr. Bryant L. Bookman, 27, of Irvington, who is wanted for a burglary and assault that occurred on December 25.

Police responded to a call around 12:50 a.m. about suspicious individuals in an automobile parked in front of a home on Unity Avenue.

Police said the individuals – one of them identified as Bookman – entered the home and kicked in the victim’s apartment door. 

Once they were inside the unit, Bookman then kicked in the victim’s bedroom door and assaulted him.

Bookman is described as 5’8’’ and 200 pounds with brown eyes and a dark complexion.
