Investigation Underway in Paterson Shooting

In Paterson, law enforcement officials are actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred on the evening of February 19.AdAround 8:10 p.m., Paterson Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire at Madison Avenue and Market Street.

Upon arrival, they found no victim or evidence of a crime scene.

However, the situation took a turn when a 21-year-old male resident of Paterson later arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center with non-fatal gunshot wounds.

This led the police to identify a potential crime scene at 17th Avenue and Market Street.

The Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and more details will be shared as they become available.

The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking assistance from the public.
