Passaic County authorities are investigating a shooting that injured a person in Paterson on Saturday morning.
According to police, they received calls for a person suffering a gunshot wound in the 100 block of Maple Street at approximately 2:20 a.m. where officers found the unidentified person suffering a gunshot wound.
Police developed some evidence at the scene to preliminarily believe that the injury was self-inflicted but the investigation remains active and ongoing.
EMS transported the victim to St. Joseph's Medical Center for treatment.
There were no other injuries reported.
