Interupted Burglary has Homeowner Robbed in Long Branch

There were no physical injuries reported in a violent early morning burglary that had the homeowner come in contact with the suspect.

The incident happened sometime at around 4 a.m. at a residence on Springdale Avenue when the homeowner reportedly began to hear sounds coming from one of the rooms inside the house.

According to reports, when the homeowner went to investigate the noises, he came in contact with a male suspect who entered the home through a window and was armed with what appeared to be a gun.

The suspect demanded, and was handed over an unknown amount of cash from the victim before he fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is being described as 5'4" black male who weighs about 130 pounds and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black sweater.
