Injuries Reported in West Milford Building Fire

Medical personnel provided life-saving techniques on a person pulled from a building fire in West Milford early Tuesday morning.

The two-alarm fire broke out inside a mixed occupancy building located in the 2000 block of Greenwood Lake Turnpike at approximately 2 a.m. sending firefighters to the scene where they observed smoke coming from the structure.

Upon entering the building, crews found an unconscious unidentifed person suffering injuries at that location.

EMS transported the victim to an area hospital where doctors began treating their injuries. Firefighters were able to knock the blaze down in less than a half hour according to officials.

Detectives from the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office were called to the scene to assist in the investigation.
