An early morning shooting in Paterson had one person transported to the hospital.
Police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the 30’s block of North York Street where officers found an 18-year-old male suffering a gunshot wound to the arm.
The victim was taken to St. Josephs Hospital where his injury was not immediately reported as life threatening.
According to preliminary reports, the victim was at the intersection with a group, when two males walked up to the area and began firing. The victim and a home on the 40’s block of North York Street were struck gunfire.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
There were no arrests reported.
