Elizabeth Police are investigating a shooting that injured a man in the city overnight.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the area of Elizabeth Avenue and Jefferson Avenue shortly before 2 a.m. according to reports.
Officers arriving at the scene found the victim struck and injured by gunfire.
EMS transported the victim to the hospital where he suffered a non-life threatening gunshot injury to the arm reports said.
The investigation into the shooting is active and ongoing.
There were no reports of a motive or arrests made.
