The Monmouth County Sherrif's Office assisted in a shots-fired incident that connected on a male in Neptune City on Monday morning.
According to preliminary reports, the incident happened at approximately 1 a.m.where police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the 90's block of Myrtle Avenue.
Police units arrived at the scene and found a male suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound according to reports.
The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment while police at the scene collected evidence to support a motive for the shooting.
There were no arrests made.
