Injuries Reported in East Orange School Bus Crash

Police in East Orange are investigating a crash that had the driver of a school bus strike several cars and a traffic pole on a street in the city early Tuesday morning.

According to reports, the driver of the bus crashed into a car and a pole on Springdale and Glenwood avenues then allegedly drove away from the scene.

The occupants in the severely damaged vehicle struck by the bus were transported to the hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries.

There were no injuries to children according to reports. There was an attendant and an 11-year-old child on the bus with the driver.

Police are looking into whether the driver was driving under the influence.

The incident remains under investigation.
