There were injuries reported for one person shot during an encounter with police in a Bayonne neighborhood.
According to preliminary reports, the incident happened before 11 p.m. on Avenue F where gunfire rang out sending EMS to the scene where the victim was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
Police released very little details behind circumstances that involved the encounter and the motive for the shooting.
The condition of the victim has not been released.
Officials are calling this a police-involved shooting with no injuries to officers at this time.
