Hurricane Maria Puerto Rico Relief Fund, Concert in Newark

According to relief organizers, a concert and donation drive is scheduled to kick-off on Saturday, October 7th from 10:00am-6:00 pm at the lot located at 870 Mount Prospect Avenue in Newark to benefit Puerto Ricans on the island who suffered catastrophic damages during Hurricane Maria's direct hit.

Organizers said the Hurricane Maria Relief Fund for Puerto Rico comprises of over 100 Puerto Ricans, Latino community participants, and citizens who felt compelled to assist Puerto Rico during this critical time.

The benefit concert and donation drive is a free event. A list of suggested donation items is attached for your reference where donations are also being accepted at five additional locations:

The Hurricane Maria Relief Fund for Puerto Rico has also partnered with La Liga Roberto Clemente in their fundraising efforts to honor the disaster relief legacy of Roberto Clemente.

Any monetary donations should be made payable to La Liga Roberto Clemente and the note should read "Hurricane Maria Relief Fund" Checks can be mailed c/o Law Office of Masiel Valentin LLC, 349 Summer Avenue, Newark, NJ or dropped off personally at this address Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 9:00am-4:00 pm.
