Howell Violent Home Invasion Robbery Under Investigation

Police in Howell are looking for suspects who are wanted for a home invasion robbery that occurred in the township Wednesday morning.

According to police, at approximately 2:30 am, a 27-year-old resident of Sequoia Court in the Point O Woods development called 9-1-1 to report he was the victim of an armed home invasion.

Police say the first suspect was identified as a white male believed to be in his early 20’s, thin build, approximately 5’11” tall wearing a black ski mask.

The other suspect was identified as a light-skinned Hispanic male with big lips, bushy eyebrows, 5’8” between 195-200lbs, wearing an orange wool ski mask with one hole exposing the center of his face according to authorities..

Police say one of the suspects was armed with a handgun with a flashlight and a laser mounted to it.

As the victim attempted to defend himself, he was assaulted by one of the suspects who was encouraged by the other suspect to shoot the victim. He did not do so and shots were fired police said.

The two subjects ransacked the residence in an apparent attempt to look for specific items that they knew may have been there. The suspects stole a Gucci handbag and fled in a grey/silver SUV police said.

The victim sustained a minor injury. Based upon evidence retrieved from inside the residence, we believe this to an isolated Incident specific to this location and/or person. "We do not believe this was a random act," police said.
