House Fire Kills Two Dogs in Linden

Police are investigating a fire that killed two dogs in Linden on Saturday night.

According to police, at approximately 10 p.m. on Saturday, Linden Police and Fire units were dispatched to the 200 block of Palisade Road or investigate reports of a house fire.

Units arrived to find fire inside an enclosed porch area according to Linden Police.

Officials say the fire was quickly extinguished by Linden Fire Department personnel.

There were no serious injuries reported, however, the family's two dogs were killed as a result of the blaze.

The fire is not considered suspicious and the damage was contained to the porch area.

Officials say the family was able to remain in the home.
