Hillside Men Charged with Roselle Park Robbery

Two Hillside men already in custody, have been charged with a Roselle Park robbery that occurred last month.

According to police, on September 28th, at approximately 1:02 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of W. Webster Avenue for a report of a robbery.

Upon arrival, officers located a 20-year-old Roselle Park man - who was bleeding from the head - advised officers that he had been a victim of a robbery.

According to the victim, two individuals came to the front of his residence and struck him in the head several times with a silver revolver, wrestled him to the ground and removed his personal items before fleeing the area in a silver or grey midsized vehicle.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The first individual was described as a tall skinny black male with dreadlocks, wearing a dark shirt. The second individual was described as stocky black male with short hair.

Detectives obtained surveillance images of the suspects that ultimately led to the identification of both individuals.

Police on October 6th, determined that Keith K. Watson, 22, and Aaronmich P. Archibald-Johnson, 21, both from Hillside were already lodged in the Union County Jail on an unrelated traffic stop and arrest that occurred in Hillside a few days after the robbery.  

 

Authorities ultimately charged Watson with (1st degree) robbery, (2nd degree) possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and (2nd degree) unlawful possession of a weapon.

Authorities charged Archibald-Johnson with (1st degree) robbery.

A judge ordered that both men remain lodged in the Union County Jail awaiting a Union County Superior Court first appearance on all charges.
