An afternoon fire at a Hillside home left a firefighter suffering minor burn injuries, according to officials.
According to fire officials, at approximately 4:30 p.m. Thursday, crews responded to the 1400 block of Compton Terrace for a structure fire.
Arriving crews encountered heavy fire in the basement that quickly spread to the first and second floors.
The stubborn fire was knocked downing in about an hour leaving a firefighter suffering a minor burn injury.
There were no other injuries reported, according to officials.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
