Authorities in Bergen County have charged a Hackensack woman after an investigation revealed she allowed past explicit contact against a juvenile to continue.

According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, the case unfolded in early November 2025 when Hackensack Police notified the Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit about allegations involving a juvenile victim.
Detectives later determined that 42-year-old Ms. Jennifer Garcia-Mota had prior knowledge of the ongoing assaults and failed to intervene.
Investigators arrested Garcia-Mota on Friday, November 7, in Paramus.
She is charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and was taken to the Bergen County Jail pending her first court appearance in Hackensack.

No further information has been released as the investigation remains active.
