There is an active and ongoing investigation underway into a shooting that caused severe injuries in Passaic on Thursday.
The early morning shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. near 19 Aspen Place, where officers responded to reports of shots fired at that location.
Upon arrival, police say officers found an unidentified victim suffering a bullet wound in their neck.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment and remained in serious condition.
Police have not revealed the motive for the shooting.
