Gunpoint Robbery of Metro PCS in Newark Under Investigation

Officials in Newark are reporting that police seeks the public’s help in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a business robbery that occurred on Tuesday evening.

According to a statement released by police, at approximately 7:10 p.m., two unknown males entered the Metro PCS, located at 186 Bloomfield Avenue, pointed guns at the victims and took several hundred dollars in cash and nine cell phones before fleeing the up Bloomfield Avenue toward Ridge Street.

Police say suspect one is described as a black male, 6’0” tall with a medium build who wore dark clothing and a grey ski mask.

Police say the suspect was armed with a black handgun during the incident.

According to police, the second suspect is described as possibly Hispanic, 5’10” tall with a medium build.

Police say the male also wore dark clothing and a black ski mask.

The suspect possessed a handgun as well police said.
