Gunmen Fired Multiple Rounds That Struck Several Victims in Orange; One Dead

Officials for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office are investigating the motive for a shooting that injured several victims, leaving one of them dead at a location in Orange overnight.

According to officials, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out on Oakwood Place around 8:20 p.m.

Upon their arrival, police found three victims suffering bullets wounds at that location. The gunman sprayed the victims with about a dozen bullets.

Police say all of the injured were transported to University Hospital in Newark for treatment, but Essex County Prosecutor’s Office officials said one person died from their injuries.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been reported.
