Police in Newark are looking for suspects responsible for a couple of shots fired incidents in Newark Friday.
According to police, residents in the area of 747 South 12th Street sought cover after shooters blasted multiple rounds in the area just before 2:20 p.m.
Officers arrived at the scene and found nearly a dozen shell casings, but after police searched the area, no victims were found.
Police say they received a ShotSpotter detection along with 911 calls reporting the crime. Bullets struck an unoccupied vehicle at the scene.
A gray Altima was observed speeding from the scene and the suspects remain at large.
