Police in Newark are investigating a shots-fired incident on a street in the city's Central Ward Sunday.
Early morning gunfire rang on in the vicinity of 26 West Kinney Street around 2:10 a.m., prompting a police investigation.
Upon arrival, police were alerted of a possible gunshot victim inside a vehicle at that location.
Officers canvassing the scene located the occupied car, but no victims were immediately reported by authorities.
Multiple shell casings and other evidence were collected while officers processed the area and searched for suspects.
The shooting is under investigation.
